Divinia Shorter

Divinia Shorter (she/her/hers) is a DMV born and raised theater artist and writer. A proud queer Black Latina, Divinia is excited to bring her background and EDI work to both her business and artistic endeavors. Previously the Literary Manager at Adventure Theatre MTC and the Artistic Associate at Shakespeare Theatre Company, Divinia has a long history dramaturging for writers across the nation and locally, and is especially thrilled to work with her fellow DC-local writers. With a writer-centered approach to dramaturgy, Divinia focuses on fostering connection between writers and audiences, sharpening thematic clarity, and landing the messages of stories- professional and artistic. With a background in novel writing, world-building and unusual storytelling are her specialty. Divinia is the co-founder of Greatest City Collective, and host to the Collective’s podcast Bus Ride Talks. A writer of many forms, her current focus is her full-length play Queens and a YA novel. In the fall of 2023, Divinia will be the playwright-in-residence at Towson University. When she’s not writing or talking about writing, she can be found with her horse, Faith, or her very tiny cat, Artemis.

His work has varied over the years, having had a play produced at Towson University, composed for pieces at the Williamstown Theatre Festival, contributing articles to HaloScope magazine, and is now currently writing and self-producing an EP. He is so excited to be joining the Collective and (literally) boosting the voices of artists through the Bus Ride Talks podcast!

Ántonia Timothy

Ántonia Timothy is a poet and actor from Baltimore, MD, and talks like it. She received her MFA at Bowling Green State University, and her poetry has appeared in Poet Lore, The Fiddlehead, Washington Square Review, Los Angeles Review, Pidgeonholes, and Ligeia, among others. He's had three scripts of his produced thus far, one of which placed second in Fells Point Corner Theatre's 10x10x10 Festival (2019).
